We regret an error in the reported results in the table presented in our paper on the Gibbs controversy (J. Chem. Educ. 1996, 73, 408-411). Under B-Tirrev, q = 717 J and Delta U = 717 J. Under B-Trev, w = 71.8 J and Delta U = 717 J. One of your readers did take up our invitation to check the numbers!
