Overhead Projector Demonstrations
Illustrating the Properties of Magic Sand

Abstract
The overhead projector offers an interesting way to demonstrate the properties of magic sand. Several demonstrations are described that compare the properties of hydrophobic magic sand and hydrophilic regular sand in water in separate petri dishes.

For only $40/year, it offers an online-only subscription to CLIC along with membership in the Division of Chemical Education, normally $65/year.
