Hi, I'm from the Administration and I'm Here to Help: My Journey to the Far Side
Richard F. Jones
Department of Chemistry, Sinclair Community College, Dayton, OH 45402-1460

Vol. 79 No. 12
p. 1394

Abstract
This article describes my experiences when I served as Interim Dean for Liberal Arts and Sciences during the 2001-02 academic year. While I had to expand my knowledge base of disciplines other than chemistry, there were many similarities in my interactions with colleagues, chairpersons, faculty, and students from previous experience as a faculty member and chairperson. Although I had less direct contact with students, I was still working towards the same goals as the faculty in providing the best educational experience for our students.

Chemistry Teacher Connection

The "Chemistry Teacher Connection" (CTC) is especially for high school chemistry teachers. For only $40/year, it offers an online-only subscription to CLIC along with membership in the Division of Chemical Education, normally $65/year. CTC subscribers receive access to all articles and supplements from 1996 through the current issue.

C&EN CLICs

Through special arrangement with the ACS, JCE High School CLIC is now able to provide subscribers with online access to Chemical & Engineering News articles that have been selected specifically for secondary science instructors and their students.
