Terrific Science
- Terrific Science offers products and services that emphasize the hands-on, minds-on nature of science for all ages, including: courses and workshops for undergraduate and graduate credit; programs for students in kindergarten through college; materials development, including teacher resource materials, books, science kits, CD-ROMs, and more; and public outreach efforts and networking to foster new and existing partnerships among classroom teachers, university-based science educators, industrial scientists, and professional societies. Institute for Chemical Education
- ICE was established in 1983 as a center for science educators to develop and disseminate ideas. The list of ICE publications for purchase includes books on chemistry demonstrations for various grade levels and on how to make inexpensive classroom and lab tools. ICE currently supports two outreach programs designed to encourage scientific discovery and enthusiasm in youth. - This site is the home page for Vernier Software and Technology. It provides ordering and workshop information along with updates on their products, which include computer software, interfaces and sensors for data collecting using computers and calculators, and labs and course curriculum. The Chemistry Place
- This commercial site charges a fee, after an initial free trial period. There are different fees and abilities to access information for students and educators. The site provides interactive tutorials, practice exams keyed to leading textbooks, chemistry-related news, web links, and a forum to share ideas with other educators and students. (1/2008)
Cambridge Soft Home Page.
- Describes software products offered by Cambridge Soft, such as ChemOffice, ChemDraw, Chem3D, and E-Notebook. This site also includes fee based access to several chemical databases including The Merck Index. (1/2008)
Hypercube, Inc.
- Contains descriptions of Hyperchem molecular modeling software and related products. Slideshow demonstrations of software can be downloaded. New versions of HyperChem 8.0.3 and HyperChem for Mac are now available for evaluation. The license allows you to run the programs free for 30 days. (1/2008)
MDL Information Systems, Inc./Symyx Technologies.
- This site is the homepage for Symyx Technologies/MDL Information Systems, Inc. It features a copy of ISIS/Draw that can be downloaded for academic and personal home use. ISIS/Draw is a drawing package that allows users to draw chemical structures using the same intuitive signs and symbols used for paper sketches. Also features a download for Chime and other no-fee software. (1/2008)

| Chemistry Teacher Connection |

The "Chemistry Teacher Connection" (CTC) is especially for high school chemistry teachers. For only $40/year, it offers an online-only subscription to CLIC along with membership in the Division of Chemical Education, normally $65/year. CTC subscribers receive access to all articles and supplements from 1996 through the current issue.

Through special arrangement with the ACS, JCE High School CLIC is now able to provide subscribers with online access to Chemical & Engineering News articles that have been selected specifically for secondary science instructors and their students.

JCE Collections Available

Occasionally, collections of JCE back issues become available for donation to individual teachers, schools, or libraries. JCE matches collections with interested recipients. Recipients pay shipping costs or pick up the collection.
