DigiDemos Concept
Demonstrations will be presented on the web, so that they can be continuously updated, expanded, and improved. A moderated discussion forum, and comment forms at the DigiDemos website, will be provided to allow users to submit their suggestions for improvement, and these suggestions will be added to the description, citing the contributor's name.

DigiDemos will be an improvement on printed versions of lecture demonstrations because...

  1. DigiDemos will be searchable, catalogd by curriculum content, level, and keywords, so they will be effectively linked to other areas in the NSDL.
  2. Safety and disposal information will be continually updated on the basis of experience with the demonstration. Links to state and national standards for disposal will be added as they are submitted.
  3. Procedural or Methodological improvements will be continually added to descriptions of the demonstrations. Animations and simulations will be added as needed.
  4. Pedagogical innovations and novel presentations will be added as they are developed and submitted.
  5. Videos of exemplary presentations will be included.
  6. An up-to-date bibliography will be maintained as other literature resources become available.
