You can access documents to read or print through the hyperlinks at the top of the page. These hyperlinked pages will automatically appear in a new window. When a new window is opened through a hyperlink, it may not be maximized (full size). You can maximize the top window on your screen by pressing F11 at the top of your keyboard. |
To change the default size of new windows that are opened by hyperlinks:

There will also be hyperlinks in the documents, which will appear as either underlined text or the symbol ▲. These hyperlinked pages normally appear in the same window that you are presently viewing. If you want to open document hyperlinks in a new window, right-click on the hyperlink and choose "Open in New Window" on the menu that pops up. |
This document should be viewed using Internet Explorer version 5 or higher. If you need to upgrade your browser, the most recent version may be downloaded free from the Internet. Make sure that Internet Explorer (version 5.5 or higher) is designated as your default browser if you encounter any browser difficulties. |
The Print files are in Adobe .pdf format, and require the free Adobe Acrobat Reader application. If you do not have a recent version of this Reader, you can install one off of this CD. The software may also be downloaded free from the Internet. |
Many Mathcad documents are included on this CD. If you do not own Mathcad, version 6.0 or higher, you'll probably want to either purchase a new copy of Mathcad or contact Mathsoft to order a 120-day examination copy of Mathcad to use during this course. Order an examination copy of Mathcad by calling 1-800-628-4223 x8028. If you are going to use a Mathcad document supplied on the CD, save it to a disk first. To do so, right-click the link to the .mcd file, select "Save Target as..." and specify the location of the saved file. Change this saved file so that it is not read-only before using it. |
The Cortona Client VRML viewer is required to properly view some animated graphics on this CD. The Cortona Client can be downloaded free from the Internet. |
