Screen from Bravais.Bravais illustrates the seven Bravais crystal lattice classes by drawing a perspective view of each three-dimensional unit cell boundary as well as colored spheres for the atoms. Each cell is rotated and expanded to show its structure clearly. The program is menu driven and easy to use either as a student tutorial or as a lecture aid. It is appropriate for introductory courses or for inorganic or physical chemistry.
Screen from Bravais.Hardware and Software Requirements
Bravais is supplied on 5.25-in. disks and will run under MS-DOS (IBM PC DOS) version 2.xx or 3.xx.
Bravais requires 640K RAM, one disk drive, and an IBM Color Graphics Adapter (CGA) or compatible graphics adapter.
