System Requirements for JCE Software CD-ROMs
The tables below give hardware and software requirements for JCE Software Web-Ready CD-ROMs.

JCE Software CD-ROMs that are not Web-Ready have additional requirements.


Hardware Requirements
Computer CPU RAM Drives Graphics
Windows Compatible Pentium;
≥ 150 MHz
≥ 32 MB ≥ 4 x CD-ROM; Hard disk ≥ 800 x 600; 16-bit color
Mac OS compatible PowerPC; &ge 150 MHz ≥ 32 MB ≥ 4 x CD-ROM; Hard disk ≥ 800 x 600; thousands of colors


Software Requirements
Computer System Other Software (Included) WWW Browser (Not Included)
Windows Compatible Windows 98/95 QuickTime 4 Netscape Navigator 4.0 or higher
OR
Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher
Mac OS compatible System 7.6.1 or higher


JCE Software CD-ROMs that are not Web-Ready
CD-ROMs that are not Web-Ready do not require an Internet browser. Other additions or exceptions to the requirements above:

Proton NMR Basics (SP-11) will not work properly with QuickTime 4 for Windows. Windows users must install the older version of QuickTime included on the CD-ROM.

Inorganic Molecules: A Visual Database (8C1) is for Mac OS computers only.

Crystallography Collection (SP-26) requires free space on the hard drive to install the software:
18 MB (Windows) or 12.5 MB (Mac OS) for Point Group I, II, and III
44 MB (Windows) or 35 MB (Mac OS) for Crystallographic CourseWare
