Flying over Atoms
Technical Notes

Problem: When using Internet Explorer 5.5 SP 2 or later under Windows, QuickTime movies do not load properly.

Cause: Internet Explorer 5.5 SP 2 and later versions no longer support Netscape-type plug-ins such as QuickTime and now require an ActiveX control.

Solution: Download and install the ActiveX version of the QuickTime plug-in from Apple Computer. You can check your QuickTime installation to make sure you have the correct configuration for your browser by opening http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/qtcheck/index.html.

Installation and Startup
Refer to the "Read Me" file on the CD for specific instructions. On Windows computers the file is be named ReadMe.wri. On Mac OS computers, the file is be named Read Me First!

There is no "main installer" or setup program for Flying over Atoms To use the CD, all you need is QuickTime and compatible version of an Internet browser such as Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer. QuickTime installers are provided the CD.

How to get Vistapro

The URL for Rom Tech, Inc. which is included in the JCE Abstract and on the Flying over Atoms CD-ROM no longer produces information about Vistapro. For a description of Vistapro or to order a copy of Vistapro for Windows or Mac OS, contact one of the companies listed below. A new version of Vistapro for Mac OS was announced in August 2001.
