Solid State Resources

2nd Edition:
Problem: When using Internet Explorer 5.5 SP 2 or later under Windows, QuickTime movies do not load properly.

Cause: Internet Explorer 5.5 SP 2 and later versions no longer support Netscape-type plug-ins such as QuickTime and now require an ActiveX control.

Solution: Download and install the ActiveX version of the QuickTime plug-in from Apple Computer. You can check your QuickTime installation to make sure you have the correct configuration for your browser by opening http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/qtcheck/index.html.

1st Edition:
Problem: Under Windows, the QuickTime movies are not displayed properly in the slide shows.
Cause: There is an incompatibility problem with the QuickTime movies when played in PowerPoint slide shows with Windows 95 or later.
Solution: The problems has been corrected in the second edition.

Installation and Startup
Refer to the "Read Me" file on the CD for specific instructions. On Windows computers the file is be named ReadMe.wri. On Mac OS computers, the file is be named Read Me First!

There is no "main installer" or setup program for Solid State Resources. To use the CD, all you need is QuickTime and compatible version of an Internet browser such as Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer. QuickTime installers are provided the CD.
