Photosynthesis: Why Does It Occur?

Abstract
The text explains why photosynthesis is the opposite of respiration only at the reversible boundary between them. Away from this boundary, the processes take on their own characteristics and cease to be opposites. Contrary to popular belief, photosynthesis is exothermic at all times.
