Abstract
In recent years the increase in pollution has become an important issue. For monitoring air pollution, samplers with a suction pump are required for collecting air. The amount of pollutant trapped in a solution is later estimated by analyzing the sample. The amount of air that passes through the absorbing solution is estimated by a flow meter. The whole equipment costs $500--$1000.

Although there have been a few attempts to make air samplers for the classroom, they still are costly and; therefore, not easily accessible to the majority of potential users. In this article, an air sampler kit is presented that can be assembled from locally available household materials. The reliability of the sampler kit is also established.
