Abstract
A LED conductivity tester has been used to determine the total electrolyte concentration in a hamburger model of animal tissue. The assay can be done on a microscale and measures the total electrolyte concentration as 0.07-0.6 N. The physiological total electrolyte concentration is 0.15 N, and the assay is accurate to within the precision of the conductivity tester.
