Abstract
An elegantly simple, yet accurate method for determining Henry's law constants of volatile organic compounds using head-space chromatography isdescribed. The method works satisfactorily with various types of substances. The many desirable features of the technique make it amenable to its adaptation in the curriculum of a physical, environmental, or integrated chemistry laboratory course. The experiment is methodologically simple; it can be easily completed in a 3-hr laboratory.
