A Polymer "Pollution Solution" Classroom Activity

Abstract
An active classroom project testing the solubility of foam packing nuggets is described. Students are asked to present and defend a disposal/recycling plan based on their results. The project combines at least 3 concepts normally presented as demonstrations, and provides ample material for numerous references in subsequent classes.
