There seems to be a need for a document that describes the hazards of a chemical in a manner that is useful for teachers and their students. To this end, I have devised CLIPs, Chemical Laboratory Information Profiles. I propose to prepare CLIPs for other chemicals that are commonly used in laboratory work and the suggested chemicals are listed in the article.
Administrative Issues; Descriptive Chemistry; General Chemistry; Introductory / High School Chemistry; Laboratory Instruction; Safety / Hazardous Materials; TA Training; Toxicology
Our Secondary School editors work hard to distill all the JCE materials to produce a fraction of particular interest to high school teachers. We call it CLIC.
In recent years we have worked hard to better match our advertisers with our readers. When shopping for chemistry education materials, visit our advertisers' WWW sites first.
Take JCE along on your outreach missions. Copies of the Journal, guest access to JCE Online, our publications catalog, and more are available for your participants.
