A Method for Drawing the Cyclohexane Ring and Its Substituents

Abstract
The method consists of drawing two atom chains in the form of letters M and W. Next, the second atom of the one chain is connected to the second atom of the other chain and the fourth atom of the first chain is connected to the fourth atom of the other chain to give a cyclohexane ring with four equatorial substituents. By extension of this method students should be able to draw a molecule of any size, composed of fused cyclohexane rings, and correctly represent the stereochemistry of its substituents.
