A recent article by Richard S. Treptow, “Lithium Batteries: A Practical Application of Chemical Principles”, was published with two typographical errors. On page 1016 LiClO4 is incorrectly labeled as LiClO. Figure 3, on page 1017, includes a reaction expression in which Li+ is inaccurately written as Li+2. The corrected Figure 3 appears below.
