Abstract
The American Chemical Society (ACS) has completed the first phase of a two-part project to gather information about chemistry in two-year colleges. In the fall of 2001, a nationwide survey to obtain basic data on chemistry faculty and curricula at two-year colleges was sent to department chairs. This article summarizes key findings. A full report of the data can be accessed on the ACS Education Web site.
