Abstract
Simple and understandable activities involving the manufacturing of hamburgers can be used as an analogy for stoichiometric concepts and calculations.
Supplement
An expanded version of the text, solutions for the instructor, discussion of the mistakes made by the students, and a chemical stoichiometry problem to match the analogy are available.
