Many academic institutions expect faculty to engage in collaborative research with undergraduates. To make productive research a reality, administrators must provide the necessary infrastructure and resources. A growing component of that infrastructure is the presence of professional staff to assist faculty in initiating, sustaining, and enhancing their undergraduate research programs. The Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR) recently devoted an issue of the CUR Quarterly to describe the functions and advantages of several models of administrative infrastructure to support the undergraduate research mission. Key themes of the published articles and accompanying online material are highlighted here.

Our Secondary School editors work hard to distill all the JCE materials to produce a fraction of particular interest to high school teachers. We call it CLIC.
In recent years we have worked hard to better match our advertisers with our readers. When shopping for chemistry education materials, visit our advertisers' WWW sites first.
Take JCE along on your outreach missions. Copies of the Journal, guest access to JCE Online, our publications catalog, and more are available for your participants.
