Abstract
Titration is both an act and a concept. Using a collaborative-learning context, we created an activity that introduces new learners (nonscience adult learners) to the concept of titration from real-world instructions about earthquake water safety found in a California phone book.
Supplement
Handouts for the students, notes on titration, the coding scheme, and modifications for a power blackout are available.
